What’s Your Take On The Puffer Dress Trend?

It can be very tricky at this time of year to stay looking on trend and fashionable, and stay snugly and warm at the same time… but it seems that one fashion powerhouse at least has got your best interests at heart with the creation of the puffer dress, a not-so-distant relative of the humble puffer jacket.

According to the London Evening Standard, Italian brand Moncler teamed up with creative director of Maison Valentino Pierpaolo Piccioli to release its latest collection in October, made up of quilted capes and floor-length dresses in a wide range of showstopping statement colours including cobalt blue and bubblegum pink.

If the idea of a giant puffer dress is a little bit much for you, the even better news is that you can go a little bit more understated in a jacket dress as Moncler has also collaborated with British designer Simone Rocha on this particular number.

Everyone’s favourite fashionista teen Millie Bobby Brown, of Stranger Things fame, was recently spotted out and about in a version of the dress so you can bet you’ll be seeing it increasingly here, there and everywhere as time goes on!

If it’s style tips you’re after for winter fashion, the best advice we can give you to help you make it through to spring is to do some clever pairing of separates. So you could, for example, wear a midi skirt and a chunky knit with some bright heels for work, pulling on some thick winter tights as the weather gets worse.

The key is all about balancing out the look – if you’ve got a bulky coat on, streamline it with a pair of leggings to keep your legs looking slim. If you’ve got big boots on, dress it up with a tailored jacket on top. You get the idea!
