Winter can feel like a very dull and drab time of the year, and as we move into spring it’s as though everything starts to come alive with colour. The trees are starting to show blossom and that puts a twinkle in my toes! As a personal image consultant, the beginning of a new season is such an exciting time
It’s no different with fashion – the arrival of the sunshine and warmer weather seems to put people in a better mood and makes us more inclined to experiment with colours and prints. The shops begin to feel refreshed and exciting after those what it feels like never ending winter sales.
In fact, Elite Daily recently highlighted some of the top print trends to look out for this year. Take a look at our suggestions of how to rock these new styles. If you need help incorporating bold patterns into your wardrobe, get some help from a London stylist.
Bold flower prints are particularly spring-like, and they’re back in. Think vintage-style, with an element of the ‘50s and ‘60s and you’re on your way. Bright colours and big blooms are what this look is all about.
Another throwback that’s set to gain popularity again is tie-dye – bonus points if you have any vintage tie-dye pieces lying around. Style it with bold, complementary colours for a look that will really turn heads. I myself love this one as I do have an inner hippy inside that always wants to escape!
You can also go dotty for polka dots again this spring. The news provider notes that these can be large or small dots, and it’s totally acceptable to pick a head-to-toe polka dot ensemble. The great thing about this is that the pattern is fun and you don’t need many accessories to nail this look.
Other trends to consider adding to your closet this spring and summer include acid wash denim, colours such as pale olive green and pistachio, and shorts, according to a recent article for the Evening Standard.
I will be going into more detail one by one with all my favourite trends on offer this season over the next few weeks
